✦ Synopsis

The standard ( p°= 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation DfH°m at the temperature 298.15 K were determined from the standard molar enthalpies of combustion measured by static-bomb calorimetry for the liquids: di-n-propylamine, diisopropylamine, diisobutylamine, and di-sec-butylamine. The standard molar enthalpies of formation in the gaseous state were derived using both literature and estimated values for the enthalpies of vaporization.

The enthalpies of formation of aliphatic amines in the gaseous state are reviewed using a group-additivity scheme.

Raman spectra of di-n-butylamine show bands whose temperature-dependent intensities clearly suggest the occurrence of different conformers in simultaneous equilibria. Abstracttiomparison of-the adsorption of di-n-butylamine at the Hg/solution and the air/solution interface has been carried out by means of interfacial and surface tension measurements. Adsorption has been found to follow a Frumkin isotherm with an attractive interaction parameter at both interfaces
