✦ Synopsis

The addition of fluoroacetate, the precursor of the aconitase inhibitor, fluorocitrate, to resting cell suspensions of Aureobasidium pullulans was found to increase the quantity of extracellular polysaccharide elaborated and to raise the pullulan content to 93%.
