✦ Synopsis

The excited-state lifetimes of three covalently linked and one "face-to-face" hybrid zinc and copper bi_sporphysm were measured and compared. nleir decays are explained by a triplet energy-transfer mechanism through an exchange coupling.

The geometrical structure of these bisporphyrins appears to play an important role in the triplet deactirxtion.
