Bubble growth measurements have been made in uniformly superheated water at pressures from 0.5 to I\*2 atm which supplement the data of Dergarabedian and of Hooper and Abdelmessih, both of whom worked at 1 atm. Superheats in the former study ranged from 1 to 53ยฐC and from 6.9 to 39ยฐC in the latter w

Bubble growth in viscous newtonian and n

A model for the dynamics of hydrodynamically controlled spherical bubble growth in quiescent viscous newtonian and non-newtonian liquids is presented. Two constitutive equations were used to describe the behavior of the liquid medium: ( 1 ) a simple power law relation and (2) a truncated power law.
