## Abstract The influence of various compounds on the increase of the electrostatic charging tendency (ECT) in insulating oil was investigated. Sulfide compounds, which are contained in new mineral oil, are identified for the first time as the original materials involved in the increase of the ECT.
The electrostatic interaction between two parallel, planar charged surfaces with periodic mixed boundary conditions is analyzed. The Poisson-Boltzmann equation (PBE) governing the powhere C Γ ef/kT, x Γ kx Λ, y Γ ky Λ, z Γ kz Λ, and k 2 Γ (e 2 Ν i z 2 i n i 0 )/ tential distribution of the system un
