## Abstract **Towards improved kinetic stability**: A detailed account of the complexation properties of the ligand 1,4‐bis(hydroxycarbonylmethyl)‐6‐[bis(hydroxycarbonylmethyl)]amino‐6‐methylperhydro‐1,4‐diazepine (AAZTA; see figure) is reported. Its Gd^3+^ complex shows a kinetic stability superio
Simple sugars and their derivatives -with oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur or phosphorous anchoring donor groups -form metal ion complexes of various composition and stability. The emergence of new experimental methods allowed the assignment of the metal binding sites in the different isomeric complexes of
## Abstract The complex formation of some divalent 3d‐ and trivalent 4f‐metal ions with four macrocyclic ligands has been investigated in methanol/water 95:5 by use of alkalimetric titrations. In contrast to alkali and alkaline‐earth cations the obtained stability constants are quite low. The reaso
