The genome of the cellulolytic fungus Penicillium janthinellum BIOURGE was resolved completely by rotating field electrophoresis. The gel pattern revealed 8-10 different chromosomes. On the basis of data for yeast chromosome size standards from Schizosaccharomyces pombe and Saccharomyces cerevisiae,
