โœฆ Synopsis

The effect of alcohol concentration on the conductivities of solutions of rz-propanol in c-hexane and iso-octane and of t-butanol iu c-hexan= foIIowin,o electron pulse irradiation, are quantitatively consistent with the existence of an equX%rium between mobile electrons in the hydrocarbon and electrons aolvated by alcohol dimers. For methanol solutions in iso-octane the observations suaest electron solvation by a larger association of alcohol molecules (CL 6).
