Abstract
The anisotropic EPR. parameters of N,N′‐ethylene‐bis(salicylideneimine)‐cobalt(II), magnetically diluted with the corresponding nickel complex, have been determined from single‐crystal measurements. From these data it is concluded that in the cobalt complex d~yz~ and d differ only slightly in energy, the former being the orbital accomodating the unpaired electron in the ground state.
