## Abstract The mass spectrum of ms‐tetraphenylchlorin was observed to contain a significant porphyrin peak. Attempts to obtain metallochlorin spectra yeilded mainly metalloporphyrin spectra. Sublimation experiments established that the chlorin to porphyrin conversion resulted from electron‐impact
