β¦ Synopsis
The electron impact ionization (EI) mass spectral (EIMS) fragmentations of a series of monocyclic and spirocyclic oxyphosphorane compounds were investigated. The results showed that the EIMS of such compounds exhibited very characteristic fragmentation patterns, which could provide a useful tool for the structural assignment of other pentacovalent phosphorus compounds.

The electron impact mass spectra of a series of compounds related to the anthelmintic substance praziquantel are described in sufficient detail to permit their assay in biological samples by selected ion monitoring.
The electron impact induced fragmentation of a large number of 2 and QS-(2-naphthoxy)-polymethylenethiouracils is discussed in detail, with the aid of exact mass measurements and observation of metastable decompositions. The 2 and Qthiopyrimidine structures can be easily distinguished by their mass
