The electron impact induced fragmentation of a large number of 2 and QS-(2-naphthoxy)-polymethylenethiouracils is discussed in detail, with the aid of exact mass measurements and observation of metastable decompositions. The 2 and Qthiopyrimidine structures can be easily distinguished by their mass spectra.
