✦ Synopsis

It is shown how the study of acoustical systems can be handled using electromechanical analogies. The analysis of lumped systems containing springs, masses and dashpots will be developed and then simple acoustical systems will be analysed. The representation of simple mechanical machines and transducers is considered and then the analysis of waves in ducts. Finally the analysis of the effects of walls and partitions on sound waves is considered.
