## Abstract The photoinduced ionic polymerization of cyclohexene oxide was studied in the presence of pyromellitic dianhydride. The polymerization is initiated by the excited chargetransfer complex between cyclohexene oxide and the electron‐acceptor and proceeds by a cationic mechanism. Photoinduce
