Electrochemical investigation of CuTMAP and its interaction with DNA at a Hg electrode is reported for the first time. The reduction of CuTMAP under our experimental conditions involves reduction of 2e of Cu 2/ and 2e of TMAP. Reaction of DNA with CuTMAP forms an electrochemically nonactive complex,
