PH3 have been brought in resonance with CO2 laser lines. using an intracavity Stark cell. Accurate values of the dipole moments &=, = 0.574Ort 0.0002 D and p,\_=, = 0.5781\* 0.0001 D) and of the transition frequencies have been obtained.

The first three direct Z-type doubling transitions in the "4 = 1 state of PH3 have been measured. The Z-type doubling constant q4 has been evaluated to be 5267.10(60) MHz.
A laser ablation source combined with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been constructed. The static electric field in the mass spectrometer gives rise to a first-order Stark effect splitting from which the permanent electric dipole moment of the B 1 โธ state (v ฯญ 0) of 90 ZrO is determined and
Although methane belongs to the group of nonpolar molecules, Mizushima and Venkateswarlu ( \(l\) ) nevertheless predicted that it possesses a dipole moment in some of its vibrationally excited states. After their prediction was verified by Uehara et al. (2), Stark effects of the \(\nu_{3}(2-4)\) and
