✦ Synopsis
A laser ablation source combined with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been constructed. The static electric field in the mass spectrometer gives rise to a first-order Stark effect splitting from which the permanent electric dipole moment of the B 1 ⌸ state (v ϭ 0) of 90 ZrO is determined and found to be 3.43 Ϯ 0.07 D. The X 1 ⌺ and B 1 ⌸ states are further investigated and comparisons with the results from ab initio calculations are made.

Radiofrequency transitions within K = 2 asymmetry doublets have been observed for the CO2-CO van der Waals complex. A Stark effect measurement on the J = 2, K = 2 transition provides an electric dipole moment of µ = 0.2493(1) D. Combining this result with the permanent moment of CO, µCO = 0.1098 D,
## Abstract Amyloid fibrils, which are polymeric assemblies of protein molecules, have been intensively studied on a structural level, yet due to complications such as the disorder within the molecules, several aspects of their structure remain mysterious. Similarly, the kinetics of assembly are no
