SCHIFFsche Basen von β‐Ketosäureestern mit α‐Aminosäureestern lassen sich durch Esterkondensation zu β‐Hydroxypyrrolen cyclisieren. SCHIFFsche Basen der β‐Diketone und β‐Ketoaldehyde mit α‐Aminosäureestern geben unter Aldol‐Reaktion Pyrrole.
