โœฆ Synopsis

Evidence is presented from a linewidth study of electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) absorption for efficient T+ V energy transfer between low-energy electrons (<O-S eV) and the fluorocarbons CF, and &Fe. It is suggested that this escitation proceeds by means of a direcr inechanism.

We examine the mass dependence of cross sections for resonant vibrational excitation by electron impact (from z+ to ur) in H2 and its isotopes. Excitation cross sections, for both inelastic and superelastic collisions, using numerical potential curves in a nonlocal resonance theory are presented and

An order of magnitude enhancement of the XeCl(B,C) formation rate constants was observed for the 300 K reactions of Xe( 6p[ l/2] 0 and [ 3/2]\*) atoms with CF&l, CF& and CF,HCl, relative to the reactions of Xe( 6s, 3P2) atoms. Similar large XeCl( B,C) formation enhancement factors were found for rea
