The neutral (22,43)-MCCPM-rhodium complex was found to be an efficient catalyst for asymmetric hydrogenation of o-aminoacetophenone derivatives.

A practical asymmetric synthesis of (S)-(-)-levamisole was realized by using this hydrogenation as a key reaction.
