✦ Synopsis

Previous publications indicate that the mechanical properties of metallurgical coke made from coal pr~odt1c4 in the Ostrava-KarvinB coal basin are significantly influenced by the coal mass properties-atomic ratio (H/O,,), vitrinite reflectance (% Rev) and inertinite content (y,; I). In the range of lower rank (0.W 1.3 ',, iiov), the size of the H/O,, parameter, closely associated with fluidity, is of principal importance L.ahorator! .

Bituminous coals produced in the Ostrava-Karvina coal basin show considerable variation in their maceral composition, vitrinite reflectance and fluidity. There is a close association of the latter with the H/O atomic ratio expressing the different chemico-structural properties of vitrinites of lower

This article was concerned with the morphology and mechanical properties of blends of poly(styrene-co-N-phenylmaleimide) (SMI) and poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) as functions of the mixing ratio of the blends and the acrylonitrile content in SAN. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and fie
