The effect of lateral interactions between adsorbed particles on thermal desorption spectra is analyzed using the transfer-matrix technique. The results are compared with thermal desorption spectra calculated by other analytical approaches (the quasi-chemical and mean-field approximations) and by th

Monte Carlo simulations were performed to investigate the island formation of adsorbates on surfaces. The surface is modeled by a NX N square lattice. The adsorbates are initially random distributed over the lattice. The movement of each adsorbate is then monitored by a random walk algorithm. Latera
