## Abstract Following repeated injection in the rat, cocaine decreased the concentration of serotonin in the septum‐caudate and increased the metabolism of hypothalamic norepinephrine and also striatal dopamine to a lesser extent. Furthermore, cocaine significantly decreased the activity of the rat
