โœฆ Synopsis

Blends of polychloroprene (CR) with acrylonitrile (AN)-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS) or AN~thylene-propylene~liene terpolymer (EPDM)-styrene copolymer (AES) were prepared by casting from tetrahydrofuran (THE). The contents of CR in the blends ranged from 10 to 40 wt%. Three kinds of CR with different molecular weights were used. The effects of the blended CR were investigated for thermal stability, light resistance, storage modulus and flammability of ABS or AES. As the content and molecular weight of CR were increased, the thermal stability, storage modulus and flame retardancy of ABS or AES increased but light resistance decreased. Morphological studies were also performed on the blends. It was found that the blended CR showed different effects on the properties of ABS and AES. CR showed better compatibility with ABS than with AES at the same blend compositions.

Blends of poly[ethylene(vinylacetate) ] (EVAc-45; 45% VAc content) and polychloroprene (CR) have been studied with respect to capillary and dynamic flow. It is found that EVAc-45, CR, and their blends are shear thinning (pseudoplastic) in nature. Though shear viscosity ( h a ) and dynamic out-of-ph

## Abstract The effect of magnesium carbonate (MgCO~3~) loading on the compound properties of polychloroprene (CR), natural rubber (NR), and their blends was investigated. The studied properties included Mooney viscosity, cure characteristics, and degree of fillerโ€“filler interaction. In addition to
