ANF, ANF7-28 and atriopeptins (AP1, AP2 and AP3) (10(-11) to 3 x 10(-7) M) induce a relaxant response on the guinea-pig isolated trachea, which is partially potentiated by the enkephalinase inhibitor thiorphan 10(-5) M but is unmodified by epithelium removal. Conversely, these drugs were found to be
