The effects of casting temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast 3 mm-diameter Zr 64.9 Al 7.9 Ni 10.7 Cu 16.5 and Zr 47 Cu 37.5 Ag 7.5 Al 8 alloys were investigated. It was found that crystalline phases were precipitated in amorphous matrix as casting temperature increased.

Effects of the addition of a small amount of Sn and/or Si on glass-forming ability and mechanical properties of Cu 50 Zr 42.5 Ti 7.5 (at.%) bulk metallic glass were studied. The critical diameter for glass formation is 5 mm for Cu 50 Zr 42.5 Ti 7.5 alloy, and increases to 6 mm for (Cu 0.5 Zr 0.425 T
## Abstract Bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) of Zr~65 β __x__~Nb~__x__~β Cu~17.5~Ni~10~Al~7.5~ with Nb = 0, 2, and 5 at % were prepared by copper mold casting. Compression tests reveal that the two BMGs containing Nb exhibited superior strength and plasticity to the base alloy. The corrosion behavior o
