Extracts of

Allium sativum and Vernonia amygdalina have been evaluated for antithrombotic activity in mice. Both plant extracts offered protection against thrombosis produced by an intravenous injection of a mixture of ADP and adrenaline, with Allium sativum showing a stronger activity.
