✦ Synopsis

The nuclear polarization of nitroaromatic molcculcs due to reversible hydrogen photoabstraction decays by an efficient relaxation process. This process takes place in the nitroaromatic anion radicals undergoing electron exchange with polarized nitrodromatic molecules and is effectively slowed down at low temperatures and at high proton concentrations.
