✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Classical fractal dimensions (Hausdorff dimension and packing dimension) have recently been effectivized by (i) characterizing them in terms of real‐valued functions called gales, and (ii) imposing computability and complexity constraints on these gales. This paper surveys these developments and their applications in algorithmic information theory and computational complexity theory. (Β© 2004 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

## Abstract As a result of their structure, polymeric phthalocyanines have four fractal dimensions for every size/shape/dilation combination. The construction of polymeric phthalocyanines resembles known fractals. A structure model of the polymer is extended. For infinitely large polymeric phthaloc

In this paper, the concept of fractal is applied to describe the features of nucleotide sequences. We introduce the mapping from nucleotide sequences to two-dimensional metric space. Then we use this mapping to study quantitatively the self-similarity of exon and intron sequences in different scales
