## Abstract The effect of copper (II) and chloride ions on the manganese (II) catalyzed iodate‐peroxide reaction has been examined with reference to the hydrogen peroxide‐iodic acid‐manganese (II)‐organic species oscillatory reaction. The observations are considered to provide evidence for iodine d
