The effect of a high magnetic field ( < 14 T) on the intramolecular exciplex fluorescence generated from a phenanthrene and dimethylaniline chain-linked molecule is studied in acetonitrile. On increasing the magnetic field from zero to = 1 T, the fluorescence decay rate decreases steeply and then in
