Laser-induced fluorescence intensities and quenching are used to probe collisional relaxation of UF,. Buffer gases used are rare gases, Nz, 02, COz, N,O, SO,, SiF4 and SF+ Energy transfer associated with anisotropic interactions is important in determining the UF, fluorescence quenching.
