Zymomonas mobilis, strain ATCC 10988, was used to evaluate the effects of pH (5.0 to 8.0), temperature (30°C to 40°C), and initial glucose concentration(75 g/C to 150 g/6) on the kinetics of ethanol production from glucose using batch fermentation. Specific ethanol production rate was maximum and ne
