✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A conventional three port microstrip junction circulator has been experimentally demonstrated in the X‐band frequency region, by depositing the thin films of Cr‐Cu‐Au over the LiMnTi bulk polycrystalline ferrite substrate. Characteristics of fabricated circulator have been studied by keeping it in the moderate thermal range. Variations in the characteristics of fabricated circulator have been analyzed on the basis of variation of saturation magnetization, dielectric constant and loss tangent of ferrite material with the external atmospheric temperature. Experimental results qualitatively agree with the theoretical ones. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, we investigate the theoretical behavior of microstrip antennas on tapered ferrite substrates. A full‐wave analysis in the spectral domain is developed to provide antenna bandwidth enhancement as a function of linear variations in the substrate‐height profile that supports
