✦ Synopsis

The effect of cationic, anionic and non-ionic surfactants (SAS) on the kinetics of polarographic reduction of U(V1) in sulphuric acid solution8 of different concentrations have been investigated. Both anionic and non-ionic surfactants cause retardation of the reduction process and render the waves more WeversibIe. A cationic SAS showed an opposite effect. Evaluation of the kinetic parameters has been made. The effects vary with the acid or SAS concentration.

The effects of charged (anionic and cationic) and uncharged (non-ionic) surfactants (SAS) on the polarographic waves of uranium(V1) in phosphoric acid solutions of concentrations O-1, 1,5 and 10 M were investigated. The kinetics of polarographic reduction of uranium(V1) has been investigated in phosphoric acid solutions of concentration 0.1, I, 1.85, 5 and IO M. The anodic dissolution of lead in perchloric acid-sulphuric acid mixtures has been studied using potentiodynamic sweeps and current step measurements. As the surface concentration of lead increases, lead sulphate precipitates at the surface. This solid phase is not in equilibrium with the bulk solut

## Abstract The effect of chloride ions on the corrosion behaviour of binary iron‐nickel alloys in sulphuric acid solutions has been investigated using polarization resistance and potentiodynamic polarization measurements. A moderate inhibition effect of the chloride ions on the corrosion of these
