## Abstract ZnO thin films, prepared using the chemical spray pyrolysis technique, were implanted using 100 keV O^+^ ions. Both pristine and ion‐implanted samples were characterized using X‐ray diffraction, optical absorption, electrical resistivity measurements, thermally stimulated current measur
