✦ Synopsis

The effectiveness of cinnarizine on the peripheral vascular system was evaluated on the perfused hind leg of the anesthetized dog. Cinnarizine is a potent inhibitor of 1-norepinephrine-induced vasoconstriction. It decreased peripheral resistance in the vascular bed of the hind leg but did not change systemic arterial blood pressure and heart rate.
