It is shown using simple perturbation theory that the intermoleculara-electron interaction leads to stabilisation of aromatic hydrocarbon dirners of certain tilted configuration ti th respect to two infinitely isolated monomers. The condition of stability of these dimers is the occurrence of lowlyin
