## Abstract The effects of thymic factors on the growth of a chemically induced tumor have been studied, The thymic factors were obtained by a gentle isolation procedure which minimizes loss of material and biological activity. The administration of the thymic factors neither influenced the develop

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Morris Hepatoma experimental tumor in ACI rats is treated with small anodal direct current via an implantable power pack unit. There was major retardation in tumor growth when the treatment was started early. There was enhancement of tumor growth when the treatment was started early and then was discontinued. There was no statistical difference in growth control of the experimental tumor when the electrotherapy was given after the halfβlife of the tumor was achieved. This last point will be the most important to the clinician scientist, for it simulates the clinical situation that faces the treating physician.

Concerning the suppressive effect of inorganic iodine on the growth of 7,12-dimethyl-benz(a)anthracene (DMBA)-induced breast tumor in female Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats, we previously reported that although iodine itself had a suppressive effect on the tumor growth, its effect was not as strong as that
## Abstract The effect of exogenous administration of human placental lactogen (HPL) on 7,12βdimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA)βinduced mammary tumors was studied in female SpragueβDawley rats. Twice daily injections of 1 or 2 mg HPL for 20 days showed marked stimulation of appearance and growth of m
## Abstract Liver tumors, both primary and secondary, receive their main blood supply from the hepatic artery. Hepatic artery ligation (HAL) causes a reduction in tumor growth and tumor necrosis. In this experiment, three different experimental tumors were used to study the effect of hepatic artery
