## Abstract Pulmonary tuberculosis is associated with a year‐long chemotherapy, poor alveolar drug levels, drug‐related systemic toxicity, and patient noncompliance. In this study, exogenous pulmonary surfactant is proposed as a drug carrier for antitubercular drugs. Dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine
