The duration of the induction period in the hydration of C3S can be altered by several means. Fast cooling after burning, fine grinding and an excess of water shorten the induction period. The induction period gets prolonged by slow cooling of the sample, by long lasting storage and by doping with AI203 • Die Dauer der Ruheperiode im Verlaufe. der Hydratation. des C3S kann auf verschiedene Weisen beelnfluBt werden.
