The crystal structure of the title compound, C 10 H 6 Cl 3 NO 3 , establishes that condensation of 2,4,6-trichloroaniline with maleic anhydride gives the title compound at room temperature. There are strong intermolecular NÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds [NÁ Á ÁO = 2.832 (2) and 2.867 (2) A Ê ], resulting i
