✦ Synopsis
The title compound, C~13~H~10~BrNO~2~, crystallizes in an enol–imine form. The molecule is roughly planar, with a dihedral angle of 5.13 (10)° between the aromatic rings. Intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bonding generates an S(6) ring motif, whereas intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonding links the molecules into centrosymmetric R

The title compound, [Fe(C 5 H 5 )(C 19 H 15 ClN)], a new ketiminecontaining ferrocenyl derivative, has been synthesized and characterized structurally. Conjugation between the two benzene rings and the imine group is not observed. In addition, there are no significant intermolecular interactions.
