β¦ Synopsis
The dynamical model of a solar prominence taking into account plasma motion in the form of a cumulative flux was developed. Of great importance is the fact that the prominence plasma is partially ionized. Ion-neutral collisions in nonsteady flux conditions radically change the energetics and dynamics of the prominence model. In this case the equilibrium state described by the Kippenhahn-Schltiter solutions becomes unstable, and various dynamic regimes of plasma compression, as well as monotonic or quasiperiodic expansion of the plasma can exist in the prominence.

A dynamical model of prominence loops is constructed on the basis of the theory ofhydromagnetic buoyancy force. A prominence loop is regarded as a flux rope immersed in the solar atmosphere above a bipolar region of the photospheric magnetic field. The motion of a loop is partitioned into a translat
A comprehensive examination of the stability of prominences is presented, and the gross behavior of prominences is considered in terms of the stability of an optically thin plasma supported by a magnetic field against gravity, including thermal effects on the energy balance. It is shown that (1) hyd
A quiescent prominence has been observed with the MSDP spectrograph at the Pic du Midi Observatory. He profiles are obtained simultaneously in a 2D field, allowing a statistical analysis. The standard deviations of Doppler shifts and line widths are investigated as functions of the line intensity. T
The patterns of diurnal variations in pigmentation and optical cross-section were compared for two cyclostat cultures of Chlorella pyrenoidosa, where the dynamics of the photoperiod differed. Populations were light-limited, nutrient rich and growing on an 8:16 light-dark (LD) cycle. One light regime
The kinematics and the development of the internal structure in the eruptive prominence of August 16, 1988 are described. The prominence exposed helical structure, and the pitch of the fine structure filaments was measured. The evolution of the pitch was measured in the legs of the prominence and at
