✦ Synopsis

Dynamic nuclear polarization of tin-l 19 in free radical solutions has been studied at 175 G. Scalar interactions are predominant for both bivalent and tetravalent tin compounds.

In contrast to previously studied nuclei, solvent carbon-13 NhfR enhancements at 74 G for a series of free radicals show increased contribution of scalar coupling for well shielded, saturated carbons. Enriched \*'CC4 with BDPA gives an ultimrtte enhancement of +850.

Strongly scalar 'H intermolecular dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) of solvent 'H nuclei in solutions of organic free radicals has now been observed at room temperature. Transient protonation of the CFaCOOHIpyridyl imidazoline-l-oxyl radical system accounts for the observed effects.
