โฆ Synopsis
A diode-pumped dual-loss-modulated Q-switched and mode-locked (QML) Nd:GdVO4 laser with acousto-optic (AO) modulator and Cr 4+ :YAG saturable absorber is presented. The experimental results show that the dual-loss-modulated QML laser has the nearly 100% modulation depth and deeper than the modulation depth 85% of the passively QML pulse. The Q-switch pulse energy of the dual-loss-modulated QML laser are measured and higher than that only with Cr 4+ :YAG. The stability of the QML laser with the dual-loss-modulation is significantly improved if compared to that only with Cr 4+ :YAG.
