## Abstract Results for a stacked microstrip patch antenna for dualβband applications are presented. The aim is to cover the frequency bands 890β960 MHz and 1.71β1.88 GHz, respectively. Impedance bandwidths (VSWR <2β:β1) of 20.1 and 14.8% were obtained for the respective frequency bands. Simulated

Abstract
A dualβfrequency patch antenna with an inset feed in presented and discussed. It is demonstrated that by cutting two slots into one of the radiating edges of a microstrip patch antenna, a dualβfrequency response with a frequency ratio from 1.03 to 2.0 can be achieved. It is also shown that this design is less sensitive to feed position, which allows the use of an inset planar feed. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A new design for the compact singleβfeed dualβfrequency operation of a slotted square microstrip antenna is demonstrated. The antenna generates two distinct operating frequencies with different polarization planes and broad radiation characteristics. The antenna has the added advantage
## Abstract Design of a rectangular coplanar patch antenna for obtaining dualβfrequency operation using a coplanar waveguide with ground (CPWG) feed is presented. This is achieved by introducing an CPWG feed line attaching on the diagonal of the patch. Details of the proposed designs are described,
This paper presents the design of a dual-port microstrip patch antenna with dual-frequency operation. Two different feed mechanisms-aperture coupling and inset coplanar microstrip line-are used to excite the TM 10 and TM 01 modes, respectively, on a single square patch. The frequency ratio of the pr
The characteristics of a planar inverted-L (PIL) bowtie patch antenna in the 1-3.5-GHz band are investigated. The proposed design is based on a modified PIL patch antenna in a finitesized ground with 50β microstrip feed line. The patch antenna can achieve a more flexible frequency ratio and has the
