„Doktor Živago“ on Vene kirjaniku Boriss Pasternaki (1890–1960) maailmakuulus romaan (esmatrükk 1957 Itaalias), kuhu autor on enda sõnutsi sisse kirjutanud iseenda elu salajased läbielamised ning mõttepesad. Suurteoses esitatakse panoraamne pilt Venemaa arengust alates XX sajandi algusest kuni umbes 1950. aastateni, mille märksõnadeks on vägivald ja viletsus, vaimusuurus ja armastus, ühe ajastu kokkuvarisemine ja uue sündimine, kuid eelkõige räägitakse selles romaanis inimese hingest ja soovist jääda igas olukorras inimeseks.
Teose peategelaseks on arst ja poeet, kelle perekonnaelu pingeid ja vaibumatut armastust oma muusa, teise mehe naise Lara vastu on nähtud Venemaad ja vene rahvast sajandi alguses vapustanud panoraamsete sündmuste taustal.
Oma lüürilis-eepilise laadi, psühholoogilise ilmekuse, inimese vaimumaailma süüvimise tõttu erineb romaan kõigist teistest oma aja teostest, mistõttu on seda võrreldud Lev Tolstoi „Sõja ja rahuga“. Pasternak ise pidas „Doktor Živagot“ täiesti eriliseks ja sellest pidi saama kogu tema eelneva loomingu kokkuvõte.
Romaani järgi valmis 1965. aastal ka menukas film (režissöör David Lean), peaosas Omar Sharif.
