The electron-impact excltahon of water ha been remves~.~gated over the energy range 9-180 eV Energy-dependent pressure effects have been observed It IS suggested that these are due to production of one or more mplet states of water which udergo coU~s~onally ass~s~cd prtissoclatlon Threshold energxs
Low-energy (O-5 V above threshold) electron-impact excitation spectra and a trarismission spectrum are presented for acetylene. it is found that excitation via temporary negative ions plays a domimnt role. Assignments are suggested for the observed electronic excitation processes.
