โœฆ Synopsis

&ions of Ca2 In solid Kr. ReIxxation of the bigb vibrational levels Is competitive with the rate of lo& phonon relaxation, and excitation in the phonon sideband produces no relaxed zero phonon Iine (ZPL) re-emission from levels above v' = 6.

The resonance Raman scattering process has been extensively studied over many years [l-3].

In particular, the basic mechanism of the scattering process, and the distinction between resonance fluorescence and resonance Baman, are the subject of considerable experimental and theoretical attention [4-lo].

Three distinct Ag, clusters can coexist in solid xenon and can be photoreversibly transformed into one another. By a dual beam technique the concentration of one of these species can be stabilized so that resonance Raman scattering and a photokinetic study of the system become possible. The results
